Amy Swigart, M.S., DAPA

Amy Swigart is internationally recognized for her knowledge and experience addressing
Reactive Attachment Disorder. The past twenty-five years Amy has worked with over 800
Reactive Attachment cases and has experience as an expert witness in Reactive Attachment court
cases. Amy is a Behavioral Specialist Consultant and mental health therapist who consults for a
number of placement facilities, juvenile courts, and programs including Inspiring Change
counseling center in Butler. She was a probation officer with Butler County Juvenile Court
Services and is an instructor for the Juvenile Court Judges Commission for Pennsylvania. Her 35
years of experience has resulted in international recognition for providing therapy, education and
consultation for Reactive Attachment Disorder, severe regressive behaviors and diagnoses on the
autism spectrum. Amy has also been a foster parent supporting teen-age girls with severe
emotional problems.
